This is the 'life'.
Living and being dead depends on 'protein folding', which means that protein masses are folding
around in red and yellow ribbon shape.
The figure above shows a virus, which is made of 5 million atoms. It is visualized by computer graphics technology using an electron micrograph and a 3D molecule model. The red, yellow ribbon-like shape is a schematic diagram of proteins that are made of tens to hundreds of thousands of atoms, which are constantly folding and bending. All the life phenomena, life, death, sickness, greediness, excretion, happiness, sadness, joy, anger, love, hate, and dream, are the result of the 'protein folding'.
I wanted to study to save 'people'.
Humans are roughly made of 100 trillion cells. One cell is made of approximately 100 trillion atoms, and about 70% of the cells are made of water. Life, in a microscopic manner, is an ultra-large complex system operated by a myriad of electrical signals that tens of millions of protein masses, again, which is made of roughly ten thousand atoms, produce as those are floating, folding, and bending around in a huge water tank. In the human body, 100 trillion of such cells exist.
I wanted to study to save 'human beings'.
Humans still don't know why they get sick or get better when they take certain medications. There are only empirical knowledge that certain medications work in certain circumstances.
The reason of protein misfolding, which causes the most of illnesses, and how medication corrects or affects the protein molecules in a microscopic level remain still unknown.
